Ripple’s CFO Kristina Campbell transitions to Maven Clinic amid crypto market struggles

Kristina Campbell, former Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at Ripple, has transitioned to Maven Clinic, a company operating in the digital healthcare industry. Campbell, a Harvard graduate, began her tenure at Ripple in April 2021 and remained in the role for two and a half years until Monday. Her departure comes amid Ripple’s ongoing struggle with a bear market that has led to widespread layoffs across the cryptocurrency sector.

Despite these challenges, Ripple is reportedly in a hiring phase and continuing to expand its footprint outside the U.S., particularly in the Asia Pacific region. This indicates stability within the company that contrasts with Campbell’s move and suggests her decision was likely influenced by personal growth aspirations rather than Ripple’s operational health.

Concurrently, Ripple is facing a lawsuit from the regulatory agency Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), with trials scheduled for next year. The company has not yet responded to immediate comment requests from The Block regarding Campbell’s departure.

Eleanor Terrett disclosed Campbell’s career shift on Monday, sparking industry speculation about the implications of finance insiders transitioning roles. This move comes at a time when other companies in the sector, such as Binance, are experiencing layoffs.
